The Gionee X1s is a dual SIM smartphone that supports 4G LTE network. It boots Android 7.0 Nougat with a version 4.0 of Gionee Amigo UI.
The device is built with an aluminum body design and sports a security feature which is the fingerprint sensor. Gionee claims that the fingerprint sensor is capable of unlocking the device in 0.3 seconds.
The fingerprint sensor which is located below the rear camera also doubles as the selfie camera activator. The phone has a weight of 166 grams and is 8.8mm in thickness.
It uses a 5.2 inches display which is HD in nature, 720 x 1280 pixels in resolution and 282 PPI in pixel density. The display employs the popular LCD display technology and IPS system to offer wide viewing angles.
Protection from cracks will be provided by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Performance, Hardware, Cameras
To perform its operations smoothly, a more powerful MediaTek MT6737T processor with four cores was installed on the X1s. The processor will run at a clocking speed of 1.5GHz. The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is a Mali-T720.
The RAM of the device was also upgraded to offer a space of 3GB. There’s room for files and apps with an internal storage of 16GB. An external microSD card of up to 256GB can also be used to expand the default storage.
For taking photos and recording videos, the Gionee X1s sports on the rear a 13MP camera with dual LED flash. The camera can perform recording of Full HD (1080p) videos at a rate of 30 frames per second. For selfies, it is a much more improved 16MP shooter.
