It seems like “launch time” for phone manufacturers in Nigeria.
Just last week, the Tecno phantom 5 was launched; Infinix mobility also dropped a missile in conjunction with Google and Jumia; Innjoo powered up Nigeria with two cute devices, and now our own Orbra has something for us.
I called them “our own” because Orbra ITC is a Nigerian company, and to quote them:
We believe that soon, Nigeria will be the world’s most desirable country to live in and we are trying out best and playing our own role in making that a reality.
In a recently concluded interview by Gbenga of TechCabal with Orbra ITC’s “Team Leader” (as he tags himself), Ololade confirmed the design and software of their devices are done in Nigeria, while the hardware components are assembled in china. In his own words;
They are designed in Nigeria, hardware is assembled in China. Software and Packaging are done here in Nigeria. We are working with some partners and stakeholders to bring our factory to Nigeria.
That should be concluded before the end of 2016.

Are you impressed?
Well, I most certainly am.
If the phone is as good as what the sheet above implies, then this device can match up with the Tecno Phantom 5.
The phone is going to be debuted on Independence day (October 1st) and the launch price is ₦58,500.
You can pre-order yours from their website for ₦55,000.
Also, customizations are available there.
What do you think?
Hit? or Miss?
