Currently only available in Asia, the newly launched Huawei Y7 Prime would find its way to Africa (read: Naija) in no time.
Generally, the device is targeted at the mid range market and while its specs are not SPECtacular, the Y7 Prime looks like what would be a heavy hitter when it gets down here.

Network and Software
The Y7 Prime runs on Android’s Nougat flavor straight right out the box. Android Nougat and Huawei’s own user interface — EMUI.
The device is a dual-SIM device which supports both 3G and 4G networks.
Design and Display
This device features a full metal unibody and weighs a grand total of around 165g. With a thickness of around 8.4mm, the Y7 prime can be picked up in about three (3) different colors — Gray, gold and silver.
The display is a 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen with multi-touch support and a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels.
Performance and Hardware
Performance-wise, Qualcomm’s budget chipset (Snapdragon 435) which can be found in a host of budget smartphones was embedded within the Huawei Y7 Prime.
The Snapdragon 435 is an octa-core SoC which was clocked at 1.4GHz and graphics rendering is handled by an Adreno 505 GPU.
