Nokia 5.1 is another smartphone from the trio smartphones HMD global launched recently. The device is an upgrade from last year’s Nokia 5 and has some of its features modified to make it better.
It features a 5.5 inches display which was 5.2 inches in the Nokia 5. Android One also comes with the Nokia 5. Other aspects of the smartphone that received upgrade include the design, hardware, and camera.
Even with the improvements, the Nokia 5.1 does not measure up to a flagship but falls within the budget devices standard.

The software Nokia 5.1 will be running is Android 8.0 also known as Oreo. It will also be loaded with Android One.
Built with metal, the Nokia 5.1 has a fine finish. Nokia was labeled on the smartphone in three places which are not really necessary. The fingerprint sensor lies on the rear below the camera system comprising of the shooter and LED flash.
The display is improved than the older Nokia as the screen is larger at 5.5 inches in size, resolution measuring 2160 x 1080 pixels with a pixel density of 429 PPI. Sides are bezel-less but bezels exist at the top and bottom of the display.
Performance, Hardware, Cameras
The ‘heart’ of the Nokia 5.1 which will power all tasks is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P18 chipset. You should get smooth handling of activities although you might experience some lags as time goes on. For gaming purposes and graphics, there’s a Mali-T860 GPU fitted for use.
For memory, it is 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage in one edition and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage in the second edition. If you need more storage space, there is an option to use an SDCard of up to 256GB.
Though dual cameras are the latest trend, the Nokia 5.1 uses a single camera on its rear. The rear camera is of 16MP quality with its front camera being 8MP
The battery is not on a high side on the Nokia 5.1 and you should not consider going for it if you’ll be needing a battery with high capacity. The battery of the device is just 2970mAh in capacity which is quite low.
