Software, Design, Display
Running on an unadulterated Nougat flavor of the Android operating system right out of the box (version 7.1.1), the Nokia 7 is, as expected, an LTE enabled dual-SIM device, albeit hybrid.
Design-wise, the 7 sports glass both in front and at its back held together by a 7000 series Aluminium frame.
Its display is a 5.2-inch IPS LCD Touch display having a full HD resolution (1080 x 1920 pixels) and is protected by a Corning Gorilla glass 3 glass.
Performance, Hardware, Cameras
Under the Nokia 7’s hood sits a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. This SoC is an Octa-core CPU having a clock speed of 2.2 GHz and for pushing graphics, an Adreno 508 GPU is present.
Memory-wise, the device features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which can be extended by a microSD card (capacities up to 256GB). Just know that the memory card, when inserted, would take up the space of one of the SIM cards.
For snaps and selfies, the Nokia 7 features a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter having an aperture f/2.0 wide. The primary camera of the 7, on the other hand, is a 16-megapixel lens with an f/1.8 aperture.
The camera, which Zeiss optics had a hand in, by the way, features phase detection autofocus, is supported by a dual-tone LED flash which sits directly beneath it and is capable of shooting 4k video at 30 frames per second.
To secure the device, a fingerprint sensor is present, at the back, right in the center close to the camera’s LED flash.
Finally, the battery on this device is a non-removable 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery which can be juiced up really fast.
Other important things to note?
- Bluetooth 5
- A fully functional headphone jack (a luxury these days)
- OZO Audio
- Did I mention an IP54 rating before? Yep. It has it.
Nokia 7 Price in Nigeria
Although not certain to get to Nigeria ‘officially’, the Nokia 7, should it get here, would retail for between ₦125,000 to ₦150,000.
If the device [hopefully] gets to our shores, this article would definitely be updated to reflect the ‘good news’.
